new jag jag pickups

i got myself a fairly new jap jaguar...i dont like the pickups...im thinking about getting american reissue ones or maybe Lindy fralin's... Does anybody know which one i should go for? or any other suggestions?

PS...im NOT looking to do humbuckers.

^ there are 3 types of pickups specialized for a Jag. you can hear them online there and compare them and then decide something. and there are also antiquities which are replicas of the original 60's Jag pickups: http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/a ... ialized-2/

it's completely a matter of taste really.. but if you prefer the sound to be Jaguarish, then i'd study those i recommended.

/edit also, i'd look around the forum and read the older threads about the pickups, if i were you.

-anti- is looking for strat pups for his jag. supposedly lace sensors'll fit. the main difference sonically between jags and strats is the placement of the bridge pup, pot value, and the bass cut. strat pups in a jag wont make it sound like a strat. the original pickups are almost the same (debated), but the jag ones have the metal claw.

ok well i just bought some us reissue jag pickups...and i called up Lindy Fralin and he said he would rewind/rework them if i wanted to....should i just pop the newreissues you think? or have lindy fralin customize them?

Play the U.S ones first man for at least a few weeks, they might blow your mind and you can forget about the fralins.

Only you know what your ideal sound is like, you'll have to make the decisions.

yeah thats a good idea...I'll throw the reissues in and see what happens...they gotta be a hell of a lot better than the Japanese ones....i picked the reissues over the duncans cuz i got the pair of them for a decent price off of ebay.
