well volume is no issue to me but mashall distortion is, and i like the darker edge marshall cleans have to fender purity.

i know the mg10 is too small for its own good really (but my tech says the mg15 is the best

s h i t amp you can get) but you dont know my line6 like i do, its thin and scrawly and even if i just use it has a speaker platform it makes everything sound distant and drab.

plus i would be getting 30 odd quid more for my amp than what i paid.

then get the marshal. as far as cheap solid state distortion goes, the mg's arent bad. do you play metal? and on mg's being dark... no.

The marshall has the contour knob that shapes the mids like on the valvestates, those things are the best invention since mass produced porn in my book.

I'd go for it just on that, but i've never played one.

Go to harmonycentral and read the user reviews, if they compare it to the older valvestate models, you'll love it.

yeah the contour thing means you can get an awful lot of variation in your overdrive. Also it has an FDD button

yeah i heard a youtube demo of the mg30 and liked what they did with it. and the 50 is that and a bit more.

the only question now is weather they'll part exchange my amp, no reason why not really.
