i like the relic job he did on the hardware, i may have to try and figure out what he did.
I guess the appeal of a relic'd guitar is that people think its older than it really is.
like when you see a 62 blue strat that has aged green with some finish cracks and some good finish wear, it looks cool.
and plus, if you spend your life babying all of your guitars you will notice every single nic, scratch, dent, whatever, but if its already beat up then there is nothing to worry about.
