They have loads of controls similar to jaguars and come in any colour you want. I would get one but im saving up for a jaguar project

bitches! they were too expensive anyway, although not compared to other companies. some of their set/bolt-on hybrids looked really original.

theyre not that expensive for saying theyre a small company who hand build all of their guitars in any colour and have scratch plates made of maple

I wouldn't buy one of those guitars, even if I had a money tree. They are completely unoriginal in design and the only redeeming factor is the inlay work, but even that looks like something a pimp in South Detroit or a dirt-poor redneck would drool over. Granted, I'm the kind of guy who has the tools and ability to build any guitar, but I still expect these people to have a little more imagination and think outside the box. For one, STOP USING FENDER STRATOCASTER TREMOLOS! They are *NOT* the best trems, so get creative. Stop using inline 6 tuners...no matter how freaking brilliant you are, your headstock is gonna look like a Fender knock-off. Stop using traditional pickups. Cover 'em up, make a new pickup, get creative. Oh, and enough of this exotic wood bullcrap. Their guitars aren't cool or original...in fact, as far as I'm concerned, they are nothing more than polished turds.

Patrick Eggle are the best UK manufacturer imo, Gordon Smith seem to have dropped the ball a bit lately. Sovereign make a decent double cut but again... its pricey.

not sure if i should disagree with you, since you are on moody ####er, but i think that while they are unnoriginal, and theres nothing unique about their guitars, theyre not worse than allot of other stuff. then again, 'not as bad as' is hardly the measuring stick of a great guitar.

I went to NAMM in Anaheim last year and was, naively, hoping to see new designs from everyone. I was horribly disappointed. Outside of the metal guitar designs from the 70's, new designs ceased to happen after the 60's. 40 years later, and *NO ONE* has come up with anything fresh, and it pisses me off. Is it because they have no imagination? No drive? Or is it because they are afraid to go off the beaten path and venture off into an uncharted market? The world may never know. Kaman had a freakin' brilliant idea with the Ovation, as he was an engineer who designed helicopter blades (and the whole point to that is to *remove* vibration, not quantify it!) I could go on and on for hours, but won't.

this must be why people worship kurt cobain lol, cuz he created the last guitar design(yeah its an exageration but like aug said, its been to long) and even then it was a hybrid and not an original design, but it beats the hell out of a strat shaped guitar.

What's wrong with the classics? I think it's cool when people take classic designs and improve them like if Fender actually put good trems on Strats and if Flying Vs had som sort of removable leg rest for playing while sitting down (y'know like on steinberger guitars). I think the robot guitar was a pretty original idea. I think guitars are constantly being improved on I just think people are running out of body styles.

(PS I'm not saying these guitars are original)

well thats the problem they are taking a previously designed guitar and making tiny changes with it and acting as if its some huge accomplishment, and we really dont care about that what we want is new body and headstock designs, but aug already mentioned that

Ya they do make it seem like more than it really is, but I'm saying they are changing guitars just not aesthetically, and I don't see a problem with that really, a shape is a shape. I do wish fender would release their second prototype of the marauder though (1/3 Jaguar, 1/3 Mustang, 1/3 Strat, and totally awesome). It'd be kinda cool if Gibson would release the Moderne for all the gearnuts out there (I think it's ugly as crap though).
