I have no idea how I did it, but since the neck wasn't working, It really didn't make any difference. :/

you mean when you got it the neck pickup wasnt working? 😕😢

It would shortage out every now and then, then suddenly it just stopped working. It might just be some wiring issue. :/

you should email fender a virtual kick in the balls and tell them to fix your guitar

why dont you just dissconnect the neck pickup and toggle, and just have bridge pick up- vol pot- tone pot- output.

id definitely replace the neck pickup with something else if you dont like its tone in the first place. if not, id at least take it out so it doesnt hurt sustain

id keep it in for the aesthetic. and how would that help sustain?

the magnetic pull of the neck pickup on the strings. yea, i suppose youre right though, although i dont really give a crap about aesthetics unless its something ridiculous. id definitely get a new pickup though. maybe something that splits well, to get you close to the original jag neck tone if you like that

oh yeah. i would either replace it or dissconnect and leave it there

well if were talking about sustain disconnecting it wont do anything. you could get the best of both worlds if you took out the magnets rendering it a useless piece of plastic whichll look fine. i think Tool knows how to do that.
