i swear the neck arent the same. i have a 2000 something 69 RI and a 97 JS. the mustang neck is chunkier, but there are both just amazing. there so comfortable. after modding my mustang with a hotrails 500k pots and the .022mDf(not sure if thats the right thing) cap, TOM and locked tail piece, i like the sound better. its quality of sound increased so much more after pots switch. with just the hot rails it sounded bad and i didnt like it, but the pots made the difference. im hoping they do it to the JS to, my next GPR order is including a cap and two 500k's for my jag stang.
and for the humbucker option you could get singles, as i said in my above wall of text i have the hotrails, i like it a lot, but change the pots and cap too. theres also the JB and 59 and lil screamin demon. i tinhk dimarzio has a few too. the JS obviously has a lot more humbucker options without routing though. id say on this one it almost comes down to looks.
