No, I'm pretty sure he's right. I had never seen a Strat body with those three circles before, but then I looked around and found a few with them, and they were all MIM.
Another question: I don't think M######## is a valid Fender serial number, according to Fender.com. All MIM instruments are either MN###### or MZ######. So it looks like the body has a different serial number than number on the headstock (which appies to the guitar as a whole)...?
