i am partial to "playing with fire"...though "sound of confusion" still knocks me down when the mood is right.

I like 'Performance' and 'The Sound of Confusion' best. I was'nt impressed with Sonic Booms solo stuff, much more prefer Jasons 'Spiritualized'.

I have to agree with you, especially the first 3 spiritualized albums compared to the early spectrum/ear stuff.

there is rumour that sonic boom's next release is going to harken back to early spacemen 3 type jams. one can only hope.

That would be great. I have an early bootleg album called 'making music to take drugs to' and that is basically a live jam/recording.

I barely got into them, only own "A Gilded Eternity". I remember the beatings they took for being similar to Spacemen 3, but personally, I thought they rocked a little more and rolled a little less than Spacemen. That .mp3 is good stuff...I'll have to give them another listen.

What I would also like to hear are some old Chapterhouse tunes, from around the time they were more or less SM3's sister/brother band. I think it is time to visit iTunes......

added later: I just bought Chapterhouse's "Sunburst" ep off itunes....they are a Jaguar band as well....highly recommend the tune Satin Safe....i'll see if i can't get it into mp3 and loaded up if anyone is curious about hearing it.
