You can swap them, but the strats and teles that have lace sensors have the blue in the neck.
The blue one is like a fat and chunky single coil, very strat like, with big fat bass if you want it, the red one is like a hot humbucker.
It's all down to your preferences.
I haven't tried the red in the neck, but then again i wouldn't want to, i'd rather have a single coil in the neck position with a humbucker at the bridge rather than the other way around.
