Lake Placid Blue and Just Blue.

I've seen a lot off people on eBay, etc. call their comp Mustang "Lake Placid Blue" when it's just blue.

IN MY OPINIONI just find it retarded that people can't tell the difference.

That top pic is of my guitar and its not Lake Placid Blue its Ocean Turquiose the bottom pic is Lake Placid Blue. There is a difference.

Dude actually the one with the matching headstock is ocean torquise i know from a jappanese color chart, they have lpb color that almost matches the one below, and the owner of that exact one said it is ocean torquise.

The bottom Stang is mine, and it is Lake Placid Blue.

lake placid blue can change color too. yellowed clear coat from the older i ones makes it greener. and fender japan makes an aged LPB so it could look greener.

Yeah the age lake placid in japan is called olb old lake placid, they didn't make it green it is just a lighter tone blue, its not green. And anyways nirvanafreak vintage lake placid blue mustangs age a purpleish color not yellow, that whyy vintage lake pb mustang often have purple edges, kurts did.

well with the paint fender used the clear coat ages yellow. its fact. but i know some get purple. some get greener though

although iirc his isn't like the bottom one either as his being an original had a white stripe not sonic blue.

kurts had a sonic blue stripe. it was the lighting that made it look white. i saw it yesterday
