melvin-man ok, for starters I don't know what all the switches do on the Jag-Stang, I just move them until I find a tone I like.Do any of them use a coil tap?I am awaiting the arrival of a JB so want to see what the options are.Cheers.
AnotherTool One switch is for the neck pickup, the other's for the bridge, and one three way switch either turns the pickup on, makes it out of phase, or turns it off.
melvin-man The jb turned up yesterday, picking up a soldering iron at lunch.is it worth upgrading the pots too? I have no idea what is in there now!
Mustang-Pete They'll be 250k ones. It all depends on if you like the sound you get with them. If not then you could try 500k ones.
tragictravisty the wiring of mustangs (and jagstangs) is ridiculous. its redundant, with both switches down its the same configuration as both up. you could get every stock sound and 3 more with out any additional pots by making the humbucker switch on/off/split
