Well that's going back to when you were asking about PA systems. Yes, you would have to mic it up basically. In the case of playing to 20,000 people, as unlikely as that is at present, you would always have to mic up your amp, regardless of size. It could be a massive wall of 4x12 cabs and you'd still need to mic it up for the people at the back at least.
In a small venue, say a pub or whatever, you could get away with not mic'ing an amp like that combo, as it would easily be loud enough. 30w of valve power goes a hell of a long way.
