I have one and its a great pedal, not really 'blues' as advertised but more classic rock, and while it isn't great with singlecoils it SINGS with humbuckers; only extreme settings get 'fuzzy' but there is a ton of note definition, even in chords (I've used one live extensively) and its quite dynamic and responds well to pick attack and backing off on the volume. Notable players are Carrie Brownstien from sleater kinney; listen hard to songs like 'jumpers' where its her, an SG and a fender super reverb in a room rocking out. Also I don't know if anyone knows him but Dave Kilminster uses one as his main boost, replacing his 'wimpy' tubescreamer (I'll find his interview); I saw him use it when he played with Roger Waters on the 'Dark Side of the Moon' tour last year. Even without gilmours expensive pedals, Dave pulled every lick off perfectly. So
