Humbuckers in Mustang...

Hi - my first post here.

I have several questions regarding having a Humbucker/s in a Mustang... I play blues, rock, and some jazz/funk.

Where is the Humbucker most effective, in your opinion, Neck or Bridge? I usually see them in the Bridge on Mustangs and Strats (but Neck on Telecasters).

Does putting it in the Bridge positions reduce the Fender signature twang sound?

Has anyone put in Humbuckers in the Neck isntead of the Bridge position?

How about Humbuckers in BOTH positions?

Lastly - has anyone tried out the Seymour Duncan single-coil Sized Humbuckers?

people most often have humbuckers in the bridge cuz it gives a more fuller sound that a single coil, but my jagsmaster has a hum in the bridge and neck and i love the sound. but if you put a humbucker in a mustang you will have to do some routing, and if you put them both in the neck and bridge, alot of routing. if i were you id just get the single coil sized buckers, they dont require any routing and sound pretty good.

it looses most of the twang. but i dont need the twang so bucker is pefect for me. i have a hot rails in the bridge. i love it

I put a full sized 'bucker in the bridge of mine, loses some of the twang, but gains an aweful lot of bite. Sounds awesome. I also had a coil tap put in so i can return to the original twang if needed. Its a win win!

I think I'll look into putting a hotrails type in the bridge first, see how that sounds.

The Telecaster escapes because its bridge sound is the Telecaster. The neck pup is a wet wank in comparison, thats why they get swapped out.
