Another Pickup Question...

Hello, I'm new here, you have a lovely forum, and I have couple of questions to all you Jag users; I'm from Serbia, and recently I've bought a '62 reissue Japanese Jag 😀 Still waiting to arrive, only for 4 months ☹ Eastern Europe... So the plans for upgrade - pickups: SD Sjag-1, 2, 3 or US Reissue; Maybe Antiquity 1 or 2, but I think I could wait for them for half a year; I've been Tele-only player for 'bout 10 years...Played friends RI Jazzmaster Japan alder one and '67 Jazzmaster USA all stock & '66 Jaguar stock w/stang saddles & block inlays 😉 So I know what good guitar sounds like 😉 I'm tryng to achive mix of modern surf inspired indie music ( think Raveonettes, Windy & Carl, Yo La Tengo...) and fuzz-style noise pop-rock (Swervedriver, A place to Bury Strangers, MBV...); Also tend to do some experimental drone 😁

Also own Vox ac30, couple of vintage & custom pedals...

For the sort of music your playing I'd suggest you went with the antiquitys as the others maybe a bit too hot. Or even have a look for some pups from an AVRI on eBay, they may be cheaper. May also be worth checking out Novaks website as I think he makes some vintage spec Jag pups.

Welcome to the forum.

I think you only need to change the bridge pup at the most, try the stock set up out first.. you may like it! But Johno's right, go with Antiquitys 😉

I will try the stock first for a couple of weeks, to achieve overall opinion on those; Is there any sound/video samples of antiquities?

Seymour Duncans website has samples. If you go on the 'higher evolution of offset guitars' website they have some samples as well.

Maybe I'm stupid, but cant find them (antiquities) on Seymour Duncans, I did find sjag 1,2 and 3 samples;On higher evolution... good avri samples and they are helpful...
