How do the new classic players actually play

I tried one today. The neck is incredible. All the tinkering I've done on my CIJ, the messing with intonation, mustang bridges, pickup heights etc etc etc is just not needed with it. It playes phenomenolly. CIJ doesnt compare in my opinion, I'm trading mine in to get this guitar. Pickups were a little 'raw', but I've kept a set of curtis novak p90s so they'll go in. In short: try one, even if you have a USA AV model; from a players perspective, this is just better.

i played a new old stock jag last week (it wasn't used and but you could tell it was slightly aged)

they had it in Guitar Guitar in newcastle for a grand

guitar guitar have good prices online, is does the shop live up to it? Since sound control went bust half of manchesters music stores have disappeared and in general none of the others have enough buying power to get things in on a whim.

Saying that anyone in manchester should check out HW in Bolton, loads and LOADS of new guitars (including the DC les pauls and ES337s) at good prices, they used to just whack the RRP on the front but they're having to box a bit clever these days and its become a pretty cool place to shop, plus Harker and Howarth are getting better all the time...

...have I just advertised Bolton? Please don't come. Its horrible.

dude guitar guitar makes sound control look ghetto

i WONT go into soundcontrol anymore. period. i had soo much stuff from them in the past.. and everytime i go in its just dead and no1 smiles or helps.. its just ####.. the manchester store is just as bad as the newcastle store..

guitar guitar is awesome.. the guys in the newcastle store are cool.. all play... lots of jags and mustangs in the newcastle store. its bright (soundcontrol is like a dungeon) they are really helpful and if they cant solve ur problem they will try their hardest to get it done...

i wont buy guitars anywhere else now.. i've had 2 guitars and a stack off them and they always do me a good price on stuff...

10/10 compared to any other guitar shop i've been in.. which is to say most of the ones in manchester and at least half the ones in london

I love Guitarguitar! its amazing. The nearest one to me is in Glasgow (like a 7 hour journey away) so going there is a real treat when we are south. The thing I love about it is how cool the guys are, they are totally cool about you just picking anything up and having a strum. Unlike other guitar shops I've experienced where you get death looks if you even look at the guitars...

People actually give you the death stare if you want to actually play the guitars? That sounds so counterproductive it's not even funny.

I couldnt imagine running a store like that...

Then again with how many broken guitars I see at GuitarCenter and SamAsh I kinda see why...

that was MY actual mustang. i put the 2 tiny dents on the bottom. and i lost the trem arm , thats why there's a jaguar trem arm in there...

i paid 650 for it so 400 at the store = bargain.

The American Vintage Thin Skin model also has the new neck with the 9.5" fretboard and jumbo frets. It's definitely a more modern feel, but I'm not sure if I prefer it more than the original.
