Jap Strats are cheaper.

Jap Jazzmasters are $30 AUD more than a Mexican Strat. 😎

A Standard Mexican Strat is $826.

The Jazzmaster from Ishibashi is $856 delivered.

Shipping is cheaper to Australia from Japan than it is from Japan to the States.

Also, in the States everything is cheaper.

It's also cheaper to buy Mesa amps/any amp over $2,000; from the States and get them converted to our power voltage.

Someone mentioned a Road King in one of the other threads.

They retail here for $8,400. Everyone here in their right mind buys from overseas stores.

There isn't that many that ship, but there's still a fair few without having to go through eBay.

Christ it's even cheaper to get a Gibson SG Special from Ishibashi shipped, which is made in the USA, than to buy one new here! It's total bull####.

Ok I've read up all the FAQs on the first page about the Jazzy.

It was pretty helpful. However it didn't really answer my specific questions.

Like- Which Schallar bridge will fit without having to have the body routed?

Will the first one be fine? the "Nikel Schaller Tunematic (Nashville)"? Or the Roller?

Also about the covers. Where can I get CIJ creme pup covers, creme volume and tone knobs (especially if it has "volume" and "tone" on them, and not just "vol" etc)

If anyone could answer those I'd greatly appreciate it 😀

you just need the right retrofit bushings for those toms (that slide right into the normal jaguar holes). trisky should know, he put one on his jag. but the spacing between the posts is the same on all of them, i think. and it is the same spacing as jaguar posts

I did a search and "trisky" didn't seem to come up.

I'm just trying to find the most efficient/effective option for me.

The easiest to setup (once initial setup is done with) and keep in tune.

Nothing at all to do with the k00l sonding kurdt, more to do with the progression of k00l sonding shae. 😛

I had a Mustang bridge and I thought that was great to be honest.

Just prefer to sus out all my options.

for me you cant go wrong with the mustang bridge.

there easy to install, the guitar all works the same as with the stock bridge in but with less setup fiddeling.

i have never felt the need to put a tom in my geetars. i think fitting a tom bridge in a jag/jazz the same as trying to fit a triangle into a round hole THERE IS NO POINT!! just stick with the mustang bridge.

HOLY JESUS. mim strats are 800 in aussi land? wow thats very steep, they're worth all of about 300-350, but not 800.

wow.....MIM strats are horribly overpriced where you are.... 😲

my first electric was a MIM Strat, left-handed, which cost $379 canadian, and it actually sounds great. very nice low-action, nice sounding neck pickup and a nice feeling fretboard.....

regarding the jag bridge, I replaced mine with a mustang one, and it's great. I'd recommend that, unless you get the TOM working 😀

A MIM Stratocaster costs R$2000,00. Do you really feel like you have to complain?

Heh.. yeah. It gets really funny with the more expensive things.

Like a Mesa Road King is like $8,500 AU from Australia and if you buy it from the States, have it shipped here for $600 AU and convert it to our power AND buy smokes + petrol for the entire week I assure you that you'll still have another grand or so left in your pocket.

The prices here are awful.

Ok as for the bridge I might end up just sticking with the original Mustang bridge. Thanks for the help guys.

I had it in my Jaguar and had no problems. Just was wondering if the TOM was better quality as I don't have my Mustang bridge anymore (sold it along with my Jaguar).

Anyway I'm off to bed. Just got back from "Dunxy"s place... uhm, his amp owns- even if it does look like ass. 😲😎
