ok, I've always tuned my guitars by ear with no issues as I have quite a good musical ear.

However, I am about to set up my Jag-Stang properly as I have just changed the bridge so want to set the intonation and want it bob on.

Any recommendations on a good tuner pedal to get?

boss tu-2 is the standard, i have a korg dt10 which is more accurate and with a better buffer or best of all is the new korg pitchblack tuners which are as accurate as the dt-10 but true bypass 😀

When you say it's better because it's true bypass, what are you expecting to happen with the DT10? There's an awful lot of mojo talked about true bypass and absolutely nothing wrong with the DT10.

sorry did you fail to read my post correctly or wasn't I clear enough? The buffer in the dt10 is excellent, much better than on boss pedals. I have one. Its great. I put it before my MXR phase 90 to help with it's terrible buffer (and, unless you've ever tried it, the phase 90 puts a noticable mark on your tone).But some people are very picky about having anything in the way in which case the new, more compact pitchblack tuner would be a better option. There is, I agree far too much BS about true bypass blah blah when acctually a good mix of the two is best but theres no need to try and make a point about your views on the subject at the drop of a hat.

You didn't say any of that in the original post. You said it was better because it was true bypass.

melvin stick with a korg; if you find a good DT-10 on ebay or reduced somewhere you won't be disappointed but if you are someone who would preffer a true bypass pedal then the new pitch black would be a very good shout. Let us know what you go with 😀

boss tu-2 dont have true bypass,

and for the same price korg wins XD
