CROSS So, are the pickguards the same proportions?I know there is differences between US and Jap Mustang pickguards. Is it the same for Jazzmasters?And when I say Jap, I also mean aftermarket.
CROSS Here's another question.I have one of these templates from www.guitarbuildingtemplates.com. http://www.guitarbuildingtemplates.com/Jazzmaster.htmHas anyone used this template? Constantine? I just need to know if it's traced from the US model or the Jap model. To me it looks as if it's copied from the Warmoth version.
grog I bought a tortoiseshell American 62 Jaguar pickguard which I tried to fit onto my CIJ HH, but it doesn't match up with the controls at all, I knew I would have to cut out the holes for the Humbukers and that there are extra screw holes, but the whole angles of the thing didn't match.
CROSS I'm referring to Jazzmasters only though. Does anyone know if they are different?I emailed the template guy to ask what he traced his design from, but he hasn't replied yet.
CROSS I got a message back from the guy who sold me the template. He said it's based on the US model. He also said the Allparts jazzmaster pickguard will fit it. I find that confusing because I thought the Allparts pickguards were Jap? Can someone help me?
