Mnes got 500K's on the lead circuit and a pair of SCR-1b Cool Rails, so far I've been running it against the sounds on Tom Arnolds Jaguar/Jazzmaster tribute page and the stuff on Mel Waldorf's surf Jag/Jazz page, and the sound is there. I still think most the Jaguars sound is scale length and bridge structure, as well as pickup placement. There's a little more thickness, but the top and mids are there. Split the coils and sounds like a weakened strat though. So it can either sound like a really loud Jaguar, or a really weak strat.
As far as the pickups were on the SD tone chart, between that of an SJAG-1 and an SJAG-2 in tone, even much of the EQ and KHz ratings were the same, though I think mine has a tad more bottom end.
As far as stock Jag pickups, I love the ones I played in a 63' that were original, and came to about 6.8K ohms. That's what finally sold me on the Jaguar was the Jaguar tone, and if that's what's there, that's all that matters to me, regardless what the pickup is called or looks like.
