New user in search of assistance in purchasing Mustang!

Hi all, new user here!

For ages i've been after a '69 Japanese re-issue Mustang in black. It's my dream guitar.

I'd been intending to buy from www.mustangguitars.co.uk but having just contacted them to voice my interest I was told that it was no longer available from them.

I wonder if anyone here knows another way I could get my guitar? Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

First off, welcome to the forum!

And the easiest thing to do is to get whatever '69 RI you can and get it professionally refinished.

it would cost but shouldnt be too much...the only other 69 RI's are sonic blue and yellow.

Where abouts would you reccomend I look for my Mustang then? I'll need a new pickguard too I presume.

I'm in the UK btw.

id recommend ebay..most of them ship worldwide and they're cheaper than buying one new if you even can anymore..but all ive seen are the 65 RI's which is what i have

I've seen black Mustangs on eBay from time to time. I don't remember how much they go for, but it's worth checking back there if you're looking for one.

Ah 😀 Well i've managed to find someone in Japan that can send me one to the UK so i'll be all sorted within a couple of weeks I reckon 😁 Thanks for everyones help regardless 😀

Nice one, well done! that wouldn't happen to be mijfenders.com would it? cause the guy there imports Japanese Fenders to the UK. I know it's mostly strats on his site, but i think he can get any guitar made by Fender Japan. Thats where my brother got his Precision bass from.

I was searching around for mustang's for sale on gear base, andi found this black one that looks like the one your looking for, except its a black 75 oringinal, not an mij, but its black with the black guard, anyways good luck finding your mustang.
