I was always a bit bummed out that my mesa didn't have a 'solo' feature, so I'm looking to correct that: would an mxr mirco-amp in the FX loop be what I'm after? Is it ok for a gain pedal to go in the fx loop? I don't wanna hurt my amp by experiementing! Also, any other alternatives to the micro-amp? its the industry standard but there are always hidden jems lurking out there...
