Mustang-Pete I just put an Orange Drop capacitor in my Mustang. It's HUGE!!! but it sounds pretty awesome. It has more bass responce, which is kinda cool. 😁
tragictravisty ... no. no it does not have more bass response. it may have less treble, but not more bass. it doesnt matter what color it was, what was the value before and after?
Mustang-Pete Fine, it has less treble. Whatever way, it's more bassy. And I think it was the same capacitance value as the original one. Just bigger in physical size. And Orange Drop is the make. It just so happens to be orange in colour too 😛
tragictravisty if it was the same size than the difference was in tolerance (ie no cap is exactly its given value)edit: also i think that there is a large difference between "more bass" and "less treble" but thats just me.
