Size/Dimension of the Mustang Tremolo?

Hello there. I've been trying to find the dimensions of the Mustang tremolo, but I can't seem to find them anywhere? Can anyone get me an exact size?

I'm looking to modify my new Ibanez Omar Rodriguez guitar and wanted to put a Bigsby on it, but the Bigsby was too big. Then I went looking at the Wilkinson and don't want to do all of the routing, plus I wanted something "vintage."

So with the little space that is left for a tremolo and the Mustang tremolo looks more promising than all, could anyone help me out? Thank you very much!

Are you looking for the measurements of the plate that covers the holes for the springs, and that the tailpiece & bridge sit on?

If so, I am holding a Mustang on my lap as I type this--I've been noodling around on it, while surfing.

While the metal plate is not a square--at the widest points it's aprox 4" x 3.75" or so.

SO if you have 4" x 4" or about 16 square inches--you have space that way. You still need room in the body to rout for the springs.

Awesome. Thank you very much. I have just enough space for it.

This Ibanez ORM1 has a tiny body on its 24" neck and I love it. The space from the bridge to the end is only 4 and a half inches whereas my Les Paul is 7 and a half inches.
