Just looking for some nice guitar wallpapers and came across this one, some interesting mods on there!

noticibly the double single coils, locked trem, TOM bridge, and the weird control plate for the volume/tone pots. I wonder if this is an artists impression or a nice photo?

also tele neck (i think). and the shape isnt right, i like it better.

then why do both single coils of the humbucker have their own screws to adjust height?

the line between 'really bad' 3d models and photoshopped pictures is a small one these days, its not as simple as you make out.

by 3D model he means a CGI machination.

looks like something i did but slightly off.

cause it hasnt been modeled right, probbly by someone who didnt have an actual jagstang to examine, it can be very hard to replicate something just looking at pictures.

nobodys saying its real. were just saying its not stock.

It doesnt exist so of course it's not stock. It's CGI.

yes, im not saying its a real photo. im saying that the cgi artist wasnt trying to recreate the original.

Maybe they were and didn't know the guitar very well. Or the computer generation wasn't great so they just got the closest they could.

We shall never know.

or the person doing the cgi decided to do one single coil, and copy it 3 times rather than a single coil and humbucker seperately. and then did a tuneomatic bridge because its simpler. and then a tele style neck with no curve at the end because its easier. and just a crappy job copying the shape. 😉

yeah really.. i spend all days playing with photoshop.. so i know its not just a shopped photo of a stang..

the dry shade look of the rendering engine also gave it away

The guy that made this originally posted it on the Fender forum back in March or so. He was working on it as a 3-D art project for school, I believe... Search the Fender forum under the "Other Fender Guitars" and go back a few months. Can't remember what the topic was, but I think it was along the lines of 3-D Jag-Stang render or something like that...
