Mustang bass

I just pickedup one of the squier bronco's for a buddy to learn bass on and now all the other bass players I know are wanting one. I personally love it, just a fun bass to play with. As for the muddy sound I haven't had that problem.

Also my 7 year old loved playing it and could reach all the frets so...if you can't play it you're not as good as a 7 year old girl 😆

Are the Bronco bass pups the same size as strat single coils I've heard they are, but I'm not sure? Also anyone played one with a 16k GFS Lil' Killer pup? cuz I have one that's been lying around for almost a year now, I was gonna put it in my strat's bridge position but decided not to. I haven't bought the bass yet but, and I can't afford it at the moment, but I'm seriously considering it for the future.

good question, actually. on the original pickguard, a regular single-coil will just about fit, depending on the size, you might have to do some minor filing. i bought a replacement PG from dazbootman, that has the original fender bronco bass measures, and on that one i

Funny this post is here now because I just bought a Mustang Bass this past weekend. I'll post pics when I get home from work.

As far as the sound goes, it sounds like a beefy precision or a punchier Jazz with only a middle pickups. I'll make a video tonight as well. The Mustang is one of my favorite basses and I've been GASsing for one for about a year and a half now. Also, the neck is fast as heck.

Yeah, that's me in the vid. No worries on royalties, most of this stuff I do guitar-wise on there is for fun or to put up info or disspel a myth on a specific guitar (trem won't stay in tune, can't pull of metal...yadda yadda).
