Gibson or Epiphone owners

I'm after a bit of info from any Gibson or Epiphone user out there if you guys would be so kind.

I know for a fact that there are a few differences in the dimensions of TOM bridges, and i'm in a debate with some guys from another forum.

If you have a Gibson or Epiphone, would you be so kind as to take two measurements for us, namely the width of the neck at the final fret, and the distance from E to e on the TOM itself.

Basically, some TOMs have an E to e of 49mm, and some are 52mm, and noone seems to know which one is the standard, and if one is used by either Gibson, Epiphone or both.

On my Epi Firebird, E to e is 52mm. At the last fret, the neck looks to be about 66mm.

Thanks Pete, that helped alot, but you have one of those rulers that has the "10" on the 5mm mark and not the 10mm mark, so it's actually 56mm correct?

I've done that a million times, my steel rule and aluminium rule have different markers, so if i'm measuring on the aluminium one, i always add on 10mm by reading it wrong.

Oh yeah, haha. I just measured again, it is 56mm. Why do they do that?! it's ridiculous.

Yeah it is.

Imagine how many people have done that, i am fully aware of this and i still do it, so you'd think they would change the design.

At least if you measure it wrong and cut, all is not lost, but i'm sure alot of people have ruined projects by misreading their rulers in this way.
