I don't have much explanation for it. I know my Jaguar special seems to have a much thicker clear coat than on the JS. The JS seems just to be paint with the thinnest if any clear top coat.
I might buy another mint condition one and use this one as my main guitar and sell the Jag. Or sell the cracked one.

The shape of the Jag-stang is terrible for putting it on a stand.
To remedy this, I just bought some Hercules wall hangers too.

The paint is all chipped to hades and back on the JS already, though, because it's a Fender 50th anniversary edition that I bought used. I think it's a '96, but I don't really remember.
I'll have to look at the serial number when I get home from school today.
