well i am getting a mustang off my friend(hopefully) but there is no bridge pickup for some reason, anyway all he has a spare lil screamin demon , is that good for grunge/punk, or would a hotrail, or a super distortion be more suited, also how well would an evolution pickup do ?

While this is true. It's not all that helpful. I don't have any more advice than what Mr. Tool gave though.

I think the point of grunge/punk music is that it's whatever sound you make it. Or whatever is available at the time.

yeah ive done pretty well with my starcaster, but i want my guitar to have some distinguishable sound, since at a certain point all it becomes is inaudible noise(on my starcaster at least)
