Need help with tuning stability

Hi people,

I just aquired a used cij jaguar for about 350usd.

Comes upgraded with buzz stop, mustang bridge, duncans original jaguar pickups.

I really enjoy the shorter scaled neck as its more comfortable for my smaller hands.

Whats bugging me right now is the tuning stability.

Even withhout playing with the tremolo, im getting off tuned easily with bends.

Is there any way i can stabilize the tuning? Would prefer if i can set it up with tremolo use.

I've been searching online on how to set up the bridge, but to no avail.

Also, was considering of using the stock jaguar bridge, and replacing the saddles with graphtech. Anyone has tried this before? Comments about it?

Going out of tune with bends when you aren't using the trem? Are you locking the tremolo when not in use?

Are the strings brand new? New strings take a short time to stretch and settle in.

Hmm..I believe it should be a new set of strings. The previous owner might have changed before handing over to me then.

Also anyone with SJAG-1 Pups get microphonic kind of feedbacks when playing high gain and high volume?

Need to check if this is normal or not.

Else i guess it could be a grounding issue?

New strings need to be stretched in. After that the Jaguar hardly ever goes out of tune, unless the bridge post screws are vibrating loose then your tuning will go flat untill the bridge has worked its way flat to the body.

Microphonic feedback is common with any single coils using high gain and volume. Try moving away from your amp and cutting out some of the gain.
