Jaguar HH special pickguard needed

Hi there, I'm mew to these boards and just thought I'd try to find out a bit of info on my first post. I want to buy a WBW pickguard for my Japanese HH special and wondered if any of you have a good recommendation? I'm in the UK so a source here would be great.

I tried ebay, the only ones they had were for the new Mexican versions and I wasn't sure if they'd fit. If any US sellers have them they don't have worldwide shipping available.

Beware though, I wanted to fit a tortoise shell guard to my HH so I picked up a 62 vintage one from Axesrus, which I knew I would need to cut for the humbuckers, but it doesn't fit. All the angles seem to be different. I may get a shop I know to cut me one using the original as a template you can buy a sheet of the plastic quite easily in different finishes.

Yeah I have a local guitar shop that will make a trace template of the original but they charge quite a bit so I'd rather get a stock/premade one if possible.

Tough call, i've never seen one. You are definitely looking at importing one over from Japan or the US, or get a luthier to cut you one.

What I need to do is take off my pickguard and take it to a shop that has the new mexican Jag with humbuckers, then I should be able to see if they're at all similar.

Thanks for that, I did see their ebay store and the only one they had listed was the mexican HH. I emailed him to ask if it would fit on the Jaguar HH special, his reply was:

"It fits what it says it will fit."

I think that was a "no". 😆

The new volume and tone Knobs arrived for it today. I went for the classic Jaguar side-screw ones.

As Customs Officer I have to defend the statement re the handling charge, thats added by the carrier and has nothing to do with Customs. Thats what p**sed me off so much.
