Squier Cyclone Tailpiece & Bridge mod.

Hi! I didn't like the Strat Tremolo on this guitar, even if i fixed the springs (didn't like strings through the body). I want to replace with Mustng Bridge or Tune-O-Matic Bridge (i don't know what suit more, 'cause Cyclone has a 24.75 inches like Gibson?) And the tailpiece i want a jaguar tremolo bar, but with fixed tremolo, only plate for strings. What can you advise me that i don't have mistake? Thanks...

Yes, i know. I'll need to drill a few holes. But i want to know, is this correctly to set up a Mustang Bridge or Tune-O-Matic Bridge & the Jaguar tailpice? Matbe, what will be more correctly the Tune-O-Matic or Mustang bridge?

That's what i mean... I want something like this Cyclone that i have made in photoshop. I don't like only the position of neck pickup.

You can do either, but with a tune-o-matic the neck will need shimming because it sits higher than a 'Stang bridge in turn making your action high.

thank you! but the tune-o-matic are the same scaled, & mustang isn't same scale, 24.75 & 24 (it's ok if i choose mustang bridge?). as i understand with the tune-o-matic bridge the strings will be some far from neck?

You can use a Tune-o-matic on a Shortscale neck, like the HH Jaguar or even my Jag-stang. The position needs to be so that the saddles are in the same place from the nut as they are with your Strat bridge. Same if you fit a Mustang bridge.

You should be okay on width as well, lots of people have fitted TOM's on shortscale guitars with no problems.

Ok, i understand. I can use like mustang bridge & so tune-o-matic on 24 scale guitars (& my 24.75 in.). Only what i need it's to install & correct it...

I like the view of this jaguar tremolo & bridge) & i like this bridge more than strat like. with this mod i'll have another sound 'cause with this bridge i'll have another angle inflection strings. And i want make something with this guitar...

No disrespect but its a big mod especially considering you have a Squier Cyclone, if you pay for the mod it will possibly cost more than your guitar did. And like Freak said, you dont seem to come across as having enough experience to carry out the mod yourself.

I know one GOOD guitar master. Bridge & stop bar will cost me about 55$ on eBay (+30$ for delivery) & i think maybe a 30-50$ for installation of this. I know that i can purchase a Jaguar Classic Player & have satisfaction, but Ukraine is foul (people & politics). Fender Classic Player will cost me about 850 + 300 (for delivery) = 1200$, & this is not the end, 'cause 1 dollar in our country = 5 grn (our currency) & this despite the fact that wages throughout 1000$, and it's a good wage for middle class. I want this mod for some time, than i want accumulate money & buy classic player. Oh, guys)) In our 1 normal music shop we have 1 Jaguar for 6 monthes 😀 , & this Jaguar (American reissue) cost about 2100$ Nice? 🤮

i dont think you realize that the jaguar trem has a big chunk of the body taken out for it to work and even go on the body.

Even the master said me that the jaguar trem isn't good idea, i'll think about tailpiece stop bar (like Jaguar HH Special)

Thanks, but now i have something like this, trem bar is locked by the springs. T-O-M or Mustang bridges it's another system, another sound etc. And guitar with this this mod will be more "sexy" 😁 I don't understand why the jaguar tailpiece - bad. Jaguar trem bar will be locked, that means that i don't need to drill all guitar, only 6 screws. And how about Mustang stop bar & bridge, just like on mustang (but trem bar - locked)?

no. this is why i was saying i dont tihnk you understand. even if you dont plan on using the trem it still has to be there. yuo have to route out a big square out of the body. not six screws

Understand...I never saw jaguar tailpiece alive 😛 from inside. Ok, and how about Mustang Tailpiece & bridge?
