in his defense there is alot there goes into trying make a 3 year old guitar look 40 years old.

all you gotta do.
put the screws and hardware in saltwater/urea(pee)
take some 1000 grit sand paper and add buckle rash/ arm wear.
and since the newer ones are poly its a bit harder to get finish cracks but its obtainable.
you could use crackle lacquer or....
freeze and cook the body/ neck repeadly, but that laso loosens glue lines and could cause problems.
beating up a guitar is easy.
but disassembling it, making it look real, re-assembling it, and keeping it looking real is rather tricky.
