is it a some sort of a Schaller bridge?

has anyone had one?

It looks like a roller bridge, TOM style. Couldn't tell if it's Schaller or not. They are good bridges for use with the trem, as it compensates for the fact that the ordinary TOM doesn't rock when you press down on it.

1 month to go before ordering my first CIJ Jag. thinking about ordering this bridge as well, since i'm very lazy and want to skip the whole jag-bridge-setup thing. (kidding, i just like the bridge and i know i have to set up that one as well. looks cooler than the original.)

If I'm honest, I couldn't care a buggery what the bridge looks like. Just as long as it's functional and fit for purpose. If I had a Jag or Jazzy I'd probably invest in a Mustang bridge, for the lulz.

oh yeah, and i forgot to point out that probably it's more effective as well. besides looking more cool. 😁 but yeah, a mustang bridge would be the most effective and most umm.. "natural" solution. unfortunately the place where i'm ordering doesn't have any. x)

it's not like that i have anything against the normal jag bridge, how could i, having never owned one. i just thought that since i'm ordering i could take this as well.

Yeah, that's fair enough. My advice, though, would be to wait till you get your Jag and see how the stock bridge is. If you don't like it then, by all means, get a roller TOM. But you might find that the stock bridge is just fine. In that case you'd save 30 quid on a bridge that you're not gonna use. 😉

It's a trem thing, the string glides across the ball bearings instead of being dragged across like on a fixed saddle bridge.

Therefore reducing friction and keeping your guitar in tune! Well... more in tune than before...
