wiring Series and Parallel

I got a japanese reissue of the jaguar.

as I found the low cut button useless (I hardly ever use it) I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use that switch to get serial OR parallel with the 2 pups.

I found the wiring map but I can t sort out the way to get the 2 pups in serial (they are supposedly in parallel by default)

If it s not possible or too difficult to do , I ll use that buton with a different range cut as I prefer to cut the high frequencies (for distortion sharpness) rather than the low..

any help appreciated

series, not serial. http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... ematic=ssp use that diagram with the bass-cut switch. note that you will have hum when in series with this wiring unless the pickup cover/screw/base have a dedicated ground, which means taking the pickup apart if youre very solder-handy, or taking it to a guitar shop and having them do it. OR get a new pickup, and email the maker to double check that it has seperate negative and ground wires. or just live with the hum, its not that bad unless you touch the adjustment screws, might be even less hum than when one of the single coils is engaged. the hum will only be present when in series mode.

are the three on / off switches i use already suppposed to be able to use such a wiring (re routing them) and if so, how are they displayed here?

switch 1 O O

switch 2 O O red

switch 3 green & bare O O blck

that way (horizontaly)

or verticaly...?

like i said, use the existing bass cut switch. the diagram is horizontal just like the switch.
