Jaguar Vs. Mustang

I love my Jag-Stang. Its my fave guitar ever. The trem is the best. The pickup config is great and versatile. I love the short scale and the thin neck with the small vintage frets and the 7.25 radius. And most of all, I love the look. I think the body shape looks great. + its different from what most others play. The Jaguar to me is to crowded with switches and stuff and I think the body looks a bit big. I prefer the Mustang body over the Jaguar but compared to the Jag-Stang I think it looks a bit boring. I vastly prefer the Mustang tremolo over the jag/Jazz trem because I find it has a wider range and I think its better for deeper dives while the Jaguar/Jazz trem I think is more suitable just for that subtler surfy type of vibe. By the way I have owned both a Japaneze Jag-Stang from 95 or 96 and the newer Mexican version and I had them both at the same time and I clearly prefered the Mexican. It felt like higher quality instrument to me and it sounded better/clearer and louder acousticaly with better sustain. The heavier Alder body made the guitar feel more substantial and higher quality as the lighter Basswood body of the Japaneze made the guitar feel cheaper. The Japaneze also had a much duller sound and was much quieter unplugged and has much less sustain. Also I thought the pickups in the Mexican were way better. It also had higher quality components like pots and stuff.

Hey guys! Just joined the group, i know, I'm a little late lol.
But, I have the lefty KC signature Jaguar, lefty KC signature Mustang(sonic blue) and a custom 1 of 1 build of a lefty Jag-Stang from the off-set guitar forums(so the prototype mods/body/pickups/ect). My go to is the Jag. I know it's very heavy, compared to the other 2, but it's very versatile and can make a lot of different type of sounds. The one thing i don't like about the KC jag is the neck radius isn't 7.25". I really do like the thinner necks of of the mustang and jag-stang(and hi fliers).
For me, I just like the way it "sits/hangs" when i'm standing up playing it. It stays in tune better than my mustang, and I really like the body astheticallhy vs the mustang or Jag-stang, although my "prototype" jag-stang is very close. The production line jag-stangs are not well built and the electronics/pickups are shit. The neck is very good, though. Smooth and thin, like a hi-flier or mustang.
