could some one with wiring skill please make me a diagram for a mustang 3-way switch(dtdp i think) and a humbucker doing: closest to bridge- normal middle- off closest to neck- split(preferably coil away from bridge)

When you say "normal" do you mean humbucker? So it's like humbucker-off-split?

If so then I think you just have to do the bottom switch in that diagram. (Obviously, the Output ground and Output Hot would be soldered to the top two terminals of the bottom switch if you did away with the top switch.)

i think your right. whats it mean by north/south/etc... for the hummer start?

north = upper coil. south finish is hot i believe. south start = grounded wire, north finish = hot

how do mustang switches work? is it 2P3T? so that its like a standard on/on 2pdt switch, with an extra set of throws?

they are DP3T according to stew mac. they are on-on-on. sorry i dont know much electrical stuff

so which are the poles? id assume that in this diagram, which is essentially 2pdt on/off/on, the middle two function as the poles? and in this diagram, when the switch is down, its humbucking.

well if you look at the switch as if the top of the screen is the neck, its split towards the neck.
