As for mexicans, their tremolo is moved closer to the bridge (more sustain due to the string angle from bridge to tremolo), tune-o-matic bridge(more stability), hotter pickups, some have humbuckers. 9.5 neck radius(Vintages, AVRIs and Japanese have 7.25), some changes in switches(don't remember them). Basically they have tried to modernize them.
