nirvana23freak if an amp is 100 watts at 4 ohms, is it ok to put it into a cab that is 8 ohms? Thanks
nirvana23freak i thought that you could go higher like an 8 ohm amp into 8-4-or 2 ohms but i might be wrong. so you couldnt use a 4 ohm bassman with an 8 ohm speaker cabinet?
tragictravisty no, transformers can tolerate up to half their required impedance, but much above it, and they cant take it. But, how many speakers are in the cab?
tragictravisty in that case, you can turn it into a 4 ohm 150 watt 2x12 by shorting out the right 2 speakers
