can anyone tell me why my jagstang get's dead frets, and what pickups replacements are optional

Also, it is possible that you have misleveled frets, but most likely your action is just too low.

Your bridge is too low, or your truss rod needs to be adjusted. Take it to a tech.

You can put any pickups you feel like in the entire world in your Jag-stang.

kewl might take to local music shop, where had it re-stringed and set before.....

also anothyer question does anyone else have trouble with palm muting on their jagstang, i do when i get nerear to the 12th frets and beyond does is all lcanky and dont get any thing.....is it a problem when guitar lieks this playing it unplugged

Palm-muting after the 9th fret gets wierd.

well my jagstang isn't as easy to gopod palm muting out of....not the same good palm muting i can get out oy my other guitar......

i just read somewhere, thats the jagstand doesn't copme out with the texas special single coil and the dimarizo h-3, instead it has copies or something? wouls my jagstang sound better if i tracked down these pickups and found guitar person near where i lvie to change theme for me?

The texas special coil is available, but the H-3 isn't. The JS you have has weaker output copies of these pups. Seymour Duncan can be your friend.

I palm mute by resting my palm against the strings just in front of the bridge. I don't understand what you mean by palm muting on the 12th fret? I can palm mute all of the frets.

So why is that hard? I have no problems at all...I can palm mute every single place thats playable. 😁

I'll do that on my acoustics, but on my elecs, I just don't care for the sound. Perhaps we can just chalk this one up to personal preference.

No he doesn't.

I bet he means he's muting the strings with the undersides of his fingers on his left hand, to give the 'chunka chunk' sound.

He means either "fret muting", "fretting hand muting", "hand muting", "deadening" or "silent note"

Still, its same at 1st fret as 12th? Whats the problem?

If he is doing "palm muting" then he should have no problem

BUT if he is "fret muting" then there could be. If the neck is warped, then maybe all frets above the 12th mute but all below dont because the strings touch at the 12th fret?

i mean at some frets i dont get the same playabilty when i palm mute at the brdige as i do some other frets or osmething? 😛
