jaguar hh special..bridge buzz

Hi all, I've got a jaguar hh special it has a slight buzzing i belive to be coming from the saddles on the tuneo-matic bridge does anyone have any any ideas on how i can stop it or would a better quality bridge with tighter fitting saddles or something? doesn't really come through the amp more of an irritation than anything else.

heavier strings may eliminate the buzz as its a shortscale , try at least 10s but if you can, go for 11s

had the same problem, even with 11's. raise the bridge, and get a new bridge. if you dont want a new bridge, raise the current one high enough that the strings barely clear, or even dont clear the back of the tune-o-matic, and then shim a ####load. i recommend a new bridge

i've got EXL115's on it atm that sould be heavy nuff?

i'm thinking a new bridge would be the best solution i would like to avoid any drilling but i cant find what bridge would fit, any recommendations?

you could pull the tune-o-matic inserts out of the body and replace them with mustang thimbles and bridge

radius is different so mustang bridge wouldnt be good

warmoth modified mustang bridge would work

Didn't know about the warmoth modified. I might have a look into that cos currently my action's just a touch too high because of chokage.

new, higher quality tune-o-matic. thats what i did. ive never heard a tune-o-matic that didnt buzz slightly if you really listen, but the stock one was horrible.

i played the hh at guitarcenter and the strings kept jumping out of the saddles, an upgrade seemed pretty necessary

thats just poor worksmanship and light strings. also, they might have had sime real strings on theyre which wouldnt fit into those tiny grooves.

dont think so, looks like small bushings type, wouldnt be a drop in. my solution for that was to grind down the posts of a large bushing one until a small bushing bridge would fit on it.

probly not a good idea for me that grindy and drilly thing dont work well for me 😡

would much rather have something i can just drop straight in, wud the mustang bridge do this or any better alterntives?

just find a different tune-o-matic, they are a dime a dozen. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_ta ... idges.html any of these bridges where the posts have slots for flatheads will work.

stay away from this one: http://www.stewmac.com/shopby/product/1511-N because the stock bridge is a gotoh, it may be the same exact one, only for fender spacing.
