lace pickups?

i've been thinking about putting some lace pickups in my mexi duo and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for specifics?

go for it, they sound amazing

ive found that im using mainly the blue in the bridge for a nice bright lead tone and the red in the neck for a warm, smooth tone

the silver will give you a more twangy kind of strat sound but not as twangy as a tele

gold - what all the pros stick in their strats. neck anyway. its supposed to be the ultimate clean tone.

I used a Chrome Dome in one of my CIJ Jaguars for a while, its a nice pickup. Lace describe it as a 'gold' but with extra output.

While we're asking, has anyone tried the Alumitones? I'm stuck between those and the Chrome Domes.

wait... i assume that lace measures frequency in hz? because if so, their pickups have an extremely low freq. peak, in the upper mid/treble range 😲 even the gold and alumnitone...

No they measure them the same as everyone else; their pups are designed differently so they get more power out of them with less winding.

... hz is the same as everybody else. and i am aware of their pickup design, but confused because more power with less windings should create a higher frequency peak, as there is less resistance. must be the magnet/magnetic field, as strat pickups wound to 6k (like the gold) usually have a frequency peak of 6-8khz, not 3.4(from memory, might not be exact) like the lace gold. thats actually closer to the peak of a p-90 or distortion pickups...
