jaguar knobs

my brother got a jaguar special hh or whatever and one of the knobs is loose, because the nut is loose, so i was wondering if you can pull them off just like other guitar knobs? it didn't seem to want to come off, and i didn't want to force it.

he got the guitar on ebay and it's messed up. the neck pickup is basically falling out, and it's got tons of scratches and the finish is like melted at some points? poor kid.

Unless you cab see a small allen grub screw on the knob it should pull off. An easy way is to wrap a thin rag underneath the knob and pull up, far better than using a screwdriver to lift it.

I've got one myself and was wondering the same thing.

I can't see any allen screws but those knobs are definitely on there tight.

i'm his brother, the one with the guitar, and we managed to get them off. they are tight but they do come off. the rag idea works, thanks!
