JB pickup in neck

I happen to have an extra JB laying around and I was wondering if any of you have put one in the neck position. It is a bridge pickup, and I was wondering what it would sound like. It is for a Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I already have a JB in the bridge, the stock neck pickup is just a little weak now compared. It might be a stupid idea, but I am sure plenty of you will have ideas, suggestions, etc....

Whatever floats yr boat. Just try it. It'll probably a little hotter than a normal neck pickup, but nothing outta this world. just try it.

well its not going to make the neck sound like the bridge, i would imagain it'll sound just like a regular neck pickup with 10% extra

How about putting an Alnico 2 magnet in it. I've always wondered how that would sound and being a neck pickup this this seems an ideal testing ground.

Not to change the topic, but have any of you changed the magnets on yr pickups?

you could do that, but i dont know why that would be better in the neck. an alnico 2 is warmer than 5.

Would the output drop dramatically? I've been wondering about this for a long time. I love JBs but I have a bright sounding guitar I wanna tame.

not dramatically, no. if youre gonna put it in the neck, it will be warmer than a paf without any mods, so id try that before magnet swapping
