I wanted the grain and everything to peek through so I never sealed or sanded the body. I just wanted a player's guitar, something that I could beat on. 😉

Yeah, it's kind of a shame. I've only had it for a few weeks and I've only jammed with it once. It's not very pretty but it plays surprisingly well. But I've been going crazy for a different guitar that I'm trying to fund the purchase of.

I replaced the pickguard on my JS with a black one and I put Strat knobs (one of which was aged by a friend and the other one was set on fire by my step dad) on her. Check it out:

It's been quite a while since I've seen your JS (I dun even remember what color it is), hang on a sec while I look it up, so I can picture it in my head.

EDIT: Ya witch hats would look pretty sick on your guitar..... but then again, when don't they look sick?

Nah, the wood grain thru the finish & contour are a dead give away. Plus Warmoth Jagstang shape is off just a tad bit (licensing issuses).

I haven't checked out Warmoth pickguard selection in at least 9 years, I saw them once, that was all I needed to see 😆

I think it sold for $275 (plus $40 shipping)... I'd of given $300 shipped, put the neck on my Jaguar and sold the rest peice by peice to make back my money. I just spent $250 on a bandsaw yesterday, so I'd be living in the dog house if I bought that.

Quite right. Certainly could have fetched more (especially if I'd parted it out) but I wanted a quick sale to buy something different. As soon as the buyer pays for the Jag-Stang, I'm buying a "metal" guitar. 😲😆

Maybe. I wanted your Jag-Stang but it's probably a good thing that I didn't snag it. It would have been for sale a week later. 🙄

I'm snagging a Schecter and hoping that I'll be willing to ditch the shortscale for the 25.5".

Its in pieces. Its a shell with no pickups, controls or tuners. It does have a bridge though 😁
