So it dosnt seem that Fender left them of to save $$$, Kurt just forgot! But really if you like everything else about a JS the fact that it has no contours dosnt meen jack, look how many other slab styled guitars you can get. And ekwatts he wasnt a "crack" head, as far as i know he didnt do crack cocaine, herion and crack are two differant things, if you want to hang #### on the dead at least get it correct, he was a smack head!

I just happened to be in my local guitar shop, and there was a fiesta red one hanging up on the wall. I decided that, as my punk/metal/grunge band (JebuS) had just broken up, and because I am a massive Nirvana fan, despite not having listened to them for about two years, I may as well take it down and thrash it a bit. The guy at the gutiar shop dialled in a clean tone, and I fell in love with the tone. I sat and played blues licks on it all afternoon until they had to throw me out at closing time. I really liked the neck, how small and easy it was to play once I got used to it, and I liked the sound of the neck pickup by itself.

I then ordered a sonic blue guitar off of GAK, and I still don't think I've ever thrashed it through a JebuS set.

I bought mine because I was on the lookout for a new guitar that wasn't a Strat or Les Paul. I read a good review of it so I started looking out for one. When I found a German site that had them a reasonable price, I ordered it. I took a chance because, even though I hadn't played it, I knew it to be a highly sellable guitar so I could offload it easily enough if I didn't like it. Anyhoo, it turned out that I loved it because of its neck which suits my small hands perfectly. At some point in the future, I may replace the pickups but for the moment I couldn't be happier with it.

when i was really young i found one at a guitar shop, i onyl knew about three or 4 chords. and i jammed on it for-phucking-ever

and a few years passed.( i was just playing my moms acuostic) and when i realized that guitar of my dreams was the one kurt "designed" i went ape over it and bought a used 96. modified it a bit, its still my main guitar.

they seem to go for very variable prices. sometimes they have start prices of 250 and get no bids, others they go over 400.

I've only ever seen lefty Jag-Stangs go for a really high price, right handed ones seem to be almost worthless, or perhaps just a lot under what I would expect from its description (as a Fender artist series) and how it plays etc, 'cause if we're being realistic about it, the only weak point for me is the humbucker, which, at the moment, I'd like to have a Jag single coil in. Otherwise I think it'd be a great guitar.

I just bought one a few days ago... Ebay seems to be selling scratch and dents for the price I paid for a new one... but I love it and the main reason for me buying it was that it is a piece of Kurt Cobain. Im not a Fender fan in general, but Kurt Cobain is Kurt Cobain... and we are his true fans.

but im still getting used to the specs... the tremelo i could do without and will.

i got my jagstang cause i hate the whole rap music scene going on here in america...

its totally awsome retro look, it had a humbucker and i liked it...thats the main reason why.

i bought mine for the main reasons of the neck and tremelo. i hate strat trems and liked tiny necks. so im selling it when i buy a jazzy.
