excellent photographs. i think the tech must've put plastic dowels in. i suspect there will be a lot of play in those. and you would have to raise the assey evenly on both sides very finely, which would be quite difficult (the bridge usually needs to be higher at the bass side anyway).
what he actually should've done was wrap electrical insulation tape around the posts, until they just fitted snub into the bushings. this means there is no play. and since the tape is more like squeezy rubber, allows for a bit of give in adjusting the hieght differently at either side.
so you would be better off taking the bridge out, taking those dowels off, and doing the tape thing (or even just leaving the bridge to sway, as it would've been stock)
