So I recently picked up a '62 Jaguar for $1500(easy payments plan of course).
and I came to the conclusion that I like the sound of my trusty old mexican Telecaster better. Perhaps it was because I could not utilize the rhythm section of the jag(see my thread asking for help in the jag/jazz forum).
With my setup which mainly consists of two delays, an alesis quadraverb, and a marshall avt50 combo amp acting as a head for a JS412 cab.
Is it just this amp that sounds like utter #### in combination with the single coils of the jag?
My telecaster can make some nice gazey sounds though it's not perfect -- not as full as I'd like. but its certainly better than the jag with this setup.
Is my amp a total POS? If so, is that the only reason you think I don't like the sound of my jag?
Should I get a Jazzmaster instead? A Mustang? Perhaps another brand of guitar? I have been reading nothing but good reviews about that sparkly jag-ishly-shaped Italia Modena.
