ANY guitar for 40 bucks is a good deal.

If you dont like it, strip it and sell the parts one at a time. You might turn a profit.

I actually love the guitar, except for the frets because they scratch the crap outta me, and I'll either file the edges down or have a music store do it while the restring it.

If you like the guitar, and its forty bucks, it's a good deal. I've bought guitars I DON'T like for 10 times that amount.

Do you know the history of the guitar? When and how it was built, where the parts come from, so on...?

Thats a no to most. I do know they were constructed in the Seventies by the Ukelele manufacturer Harmony. Also the reason you pay so much for guitars is you have to import them, I live in the USA, where the Squier Jagmaster is only 250 dollars new at guitarcenter. And yes i know you bought the jagmaster and didn't like it.

Oh, I wasnt referring to my Jagmaster there. I was happy with everything except the sound 😀

I was talking about my Cimar, one of the whitest white elephants I have ever bought...

Impoting tarrifs are a killer. We have a GST over here too, so the already-high prices go up by yet another 10%

I was lucky to find the Cyclone. I actually asked at the store if they have the blue one in stock. He said they did and started to order. He started muttering 'blah, blah, blah, daphne blue, blah, blah, blah' and I stopped him, pointig out the Squier Cyclone didnt come in Daphne Blue. Turns out they still had a couple of FENDER Cyclones in stock too. I would have let him keep ordering, but I couldn't afford it.

Of course, I didn't think the Fender Cyclone came in Daphne Blue either...

The Fender Cyclone doesn't appear on the product list, but the Squier Cyclone does.

If you're game, you could send an email and see if my info is accurate. But the dude DEFINITELY said Daphne Blue, and was DEFINITELY looking at Cyclone.

Of course, it's possible that it was merely in the database and not actually in stock, but by this tone, he sure sounded like he was actually ORDERING it...
