+1 about the lacking refinement part. i personally like guitars that are interesting - looking and exciting without being radical.

I was referring to the solid-body Talmans by the way, I can't stand the acoustic ones either (just read the part about the acoustic one)...

But seriously, I have seen electric ones in every colour and with every pickup combination ever... Such a cool idea... Its what they should do with the Jag / Jazzy / Mustang guitars. Any colour, any combo, cheap, under the Squier name 😎 .

I LOVE the Talman (electric) shape! I also like the acoustic shape a bit too (hence I own one 😉 )

That yellow Jet King totally does it for me, but I played a red one once (not that colour matters much in this case) and it felt rough... I couldn't get along with the neck, and the overall finishing of it wasn't great to be honest...

It was really nice. Really chunky neck, great action (for an older instrument with no saddles or truss) great tone from the Lipstick tube PUPs 😲 . I played it at 30th Street Guitars in NYC. They always have excellent stuff, including a wide variety of the guitars we talk about here 😁 .
